![]() ![]() I don't get how someone can think that you will get two perfectly good transports for $150 when a single good product can cost $800. Later on the same idea was used to make BPC items which stands for Black Plastic Crap. They were just sold for profit and not quality products. There were Capehart and Soundesign units as well that would join in with run of the mill or less products. Some people liked them but they were operating at a reduced budget. They are not a high end transport and will not equal a BX300 (Nakamichi) or a Teac C-3RX but they don't come in at a higher price either. ![]() ![]() I have worked on these products in customer service jobs and when the belts are in good shape and the bearings oiled then they can do as good as any basic piano key tape deck will and actually better than most dual cassettes that were the next course of lies sold to the public. These types of devices were the start of the presented good stuff while behind the front panel it was more basic to less than that in construction. ![]()
